Skullcandy has launched Grind Wireless headphones in India at a price of Rs. 6,499. The headphones are an upgraded and wireless version of the Grind 2.0 headphones, which are widely available for around Rs. 2,500 today, and use Bluetooth for audio transmission.

“Our wireless product innovations were well-received in 2015. Grind Wireless will continue our mission to launch headphone in style that change consumers’ expectations of Bluetooth product’s aesthetics and acoustic performance,” said Amlan Bhattacharjya, founder and CEO of Brandeyes Distributors Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor for Skullcandy in India.

The Grind Wireless features a similar design and look as the Grind 2.0, and has an added integrated amplifier to enhance the sound over Bluetooth. The headset boasts of a battery life of up to 12 hours on a full charge, while the right ear cup integrates microphone, call, track and volume controls to easily control the headset and music.

The grand launch event of Grind Wireless took place at Anti Social, Hauz Khas (Delhi), in presence of several tech bloggers and journalists from India’s most prestigious media houses.

At the beginning of the event, the bloggers and journalists were briefed about the product’s unique features and later, were allowed to experience the headphones themselves.

These new headphones will initially be available exclusively at Croma for one month, following which availability will be expanded to other stores all over the country as well as online.

The launch will further strengthen the Skullcandy range of Wireless Headphones in India.
